
Ultiamte Easy-Awesome “laid back doin’ nothin’ day” French onion soup

Open a beer (beer is for you not the soup) and grab two sliced vedallia onions sliced 1/4″ to3/8″ thick

Saute onions in half stick of butter

When turning golden, open another beer and add 1/4 cup sherry, garlic, 2 tsp. Worstershire sauce, 2 heaping tbls Brown sugar, 2 tsp Thyme cover and simmer 20 minutes

after 20 minutes open another beer and add 2nd 1/4 cup sherry, 1/4 cup butter, 1 tsp “better than Bouillon” beef bouillon and simmer. Add 48 oz. Beef broth and simmer another 20 minutes then shut off and let sit while ya have a beer

Scoop onions into a bowl, place toasted french bread on top ad pour on soup liquid until about 1/2″ from top and top with cheese (provolone works good) and bake for 5 minutes at 400 (or just give it a quick broil to melt and brown cheese)
